I am currently a sophomore in high school, and I've played Roblox since I was 7 years old. Until I was 10, my entire chat feature was turned off, but this was way before the age guidelines came out. Be careful, as Roblox has just introduced 17+ games, mostly for gore. Realistically violent games are sort of easy to find, if your account is 13+. Use the safety guidelines feature for elementary kids. There are way more now, but just know, your child will access things they aren't supposed to see some day.

I’ve been playing Roblox for about 7 years now. I can tell you the game used to be terrible at making sure nothings bad, but now over the years they had gotten more moderators so it’s safe to an extent but even in the moderators don’t completely moderate all the stuff. That’s what you use the settings.Through my little experience on Roblox is a fun game. I even played games with my mom on there it was a cool bonding experience. I’ve never seen my mom play a game and she was actually better than me at the game.😆

Predators are online. Roblox is online. how do you turn off sexual acts simulations?? and yes it did happened. I bought my kids a switch so he can play offline games. We are still in that stage to go completely offline. The easiest way is to give our kids the attention they need from us. Yes, it's hard bc parents are just forever busy or on our damn phones. Let's just be honest here. The goal is to discover offline games that the kid and the family can have fun playing.

To any parent considering letting your kids play Roblox I highly recommend watching the two Roblox Investigation videos by the Youtube channel People Make Games, it goes all in on Roblox's shady business practices and how its possible to be mistreated on the platform. As someone who's been playing Roblox since 2015 I do think the platform can absolutely be fun and safe IF you're careful, as is the case with many things online. As someone who definitely believes kids should have freedom to explore the web within reason, Roblox is one of those things you need to have a safety chat about covering all sorts of topics on the platform such as the digital item market that could be compared to gambling, and how to not be exploited under Roblox's exploitative systems.

It's not just the game, it extends to the videos showing the game and the various stories based on the game. Roblox in general is a very offensive product.

I've been playing roblox for FIVE YEARS and I've been bullied only like two times. There were no predators like many people warn about, only the occasional weird player who is probably weird ironically. I honestly don't know why roblox is targeted more by parents than other games like minecraft.

Roblox is a good game and innocent for kids but PLEASE DO NOT LET THEM PLAY A GAME CALLED BROOKHAVEN. It’s just so bad I can’t even explain. Awesome tips especially about the age. We may not want to give out our kids age so putting in ours could expose them to a lot more dangers. Having a fake set age for your kid accounts should help. Thank you for this, as I watched it with my daughter. She and I both loved it

You just need to keep your kids away from the violent games. That's all, keep them away from "Neighborhood War" and "Decaying Winter: LD" especially.

I been around since the start of online gaming and it has got way better then in my day. Yes there are dangers but kids play Roblox for the most part and my kids know the dangers. The internet isn't a safe place ever even for adults. Do your self a favor and get your family a VPN on your network

id like to say that predators are actually quite rare on roblox. just make sure your kid is digitally responsible and yeah it should very rarely be a problem

I’m thinking of taking the app off my 8YO iPad. I don’t like the games she has access to in there. I hear gun fire, there’s a scary clown chasing and killing people, and people she doesn’t know let her in their “homes” and it creeps me out. I don’t like it at all.

My parents don’t care, they keep saying that it’s evil but they don’t even have and explanation about it I told them today why is it evil and she said it’s just evil it makes no sense because she don’t know why it’s evil, they just block every game I play because they say that it has to many people playing it but they play candy crush
