Over the tumultuous 49 days that followed, her time as prime minister was derailed by a series of U-turns, market shocks and a pervading sense of chaos. We go behind the scenes with Truss's biographer on the shortest ever stay in No 10.

I lived in her constituency until earlier this year and came across her a few times. It was clear that she was really sub par intellectually. She would have been a mediocre office manager at best. What she did have was ambition, a total lack of shame and the morals of an alley cat. Total disaster for the country.

The "untold" story of Liz Truss's chaotic 49 days in No 10 is still being played out in our mortgage repayments.

I think the queen gave up when she realised that Truss was her Prime minister. Poor old dear had had three years of weekly meetings with Johnson and now had to face the same with her. Surely at some point she thought " my first Prime minister was Winston Churchill. This is my latest one. I'm done now"

And remember the TORIES ALL cheered like overgrown public school students as our economy was ruined.

boasting over self confidence is usually coupled with very low competence
truss is a perfect example

She was so grotesquely out of her depth, and anyone with a single brain cell should’ve been able to see that a mile off.

How long before this disaster did no one spot the woman had a vacant look, saying stuff that chimed with whatever was being discussed? And remember this was the best they could come up with...and what truly galls me is that she gets 100, 000 a year for life for wrecking the entire country

Someone said she is intelligent. I believe that person should be receiving treatment.

Matthew Parris has it right about her "A planet sized mass of over ambition and confidence tetering on a pin sized political brain" .

If I were Truss, I'd hide my face away forever more but she seems to have no shame at all.

‘In Liz we Truss’.... never forget that Sun headline.

The fact confirmed to me most depressingly in this (rather good) documentary is quite how little the current Tory party cares about the welfare of the electorate. Even as a Labour voter (which is what I am!) I readily acknowledge that John Major was a compassionate man with a profound sense of justice and common decency. This sense of appropriate behaviour, since the grotesque hubris of Johnson's premiership, appears to have been completely abandoned by the current Tory leadership. There was something footballer's-wife-like about the whiney coarseness and champagne-drinking selfishness of Truss and her cronies - utterly repulsive!

A historic figure, not for the reasons anyone would want.

Such an interesting analysis of the disaster that was Liz Truss. I’m amazed that she is still around Parliament in any capacity. This was a fascinating. Thank you.

Liss Truss's ignorance of basic economics isn't just powerful, it's weapons grade. It was like watching a kid play at being Prime Minister. Laughable.

'Mogadon Liz' - Liz Truss was so boring you could fall asleep to her. During her 49 days tenure at No 10, she and Kwasi Kwarteng put the country's finances into a black hole. Our country has, to date, never recovered. Except what has deeply infuriated me was, Liz never apologised. That is because she is a narcissist, and narcissists have not one shred of empathy. ...This video presentation was first class. 🌟

The fact that the rank & file tory party members voted for this woman. Because they believed she would offer them tax cuts at a "time of great economic international instability." Should tell you all you need to know about the tory party.

The lettuce, the woman who boasted of selling tea - Yorkshire tea - to China.
Ahh yes, the great tea plantations of Wakefield.😂
