A relatively small amount of the YouTube golf community will ever watch this video, too busy watching Rick Shiels post another review on a driver that does exactly the same as its previous incarnation a year before. This is knowledge, I have watched plenty of ground reaction force videos before but this really explains the WHY they are important.

Dr. Kwon, I'm so glad you started a channel. I'm learning so much thank you!!!!

Finally, objective and pure science with the effect of displacing a plethora of myths and pseudo science infused into golf instruction. I am an ardent student of the game, an accomplished golfer, and am genuinely grateful for your most substantial contribution to our game. The beauty is, one cannot credibly argue with what creates speed and increased forces in the swing, though how its accomplished will always be contentious to a degree, analysis should sharpen and focus the process. Dr. Kwon, I am thankful and most interested in your content, and I am sure many others will be as well.

As a mechanical engineer and golfer this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much, really interesting and it all makes perfect sense!

you are a god amongst men. ive learnt more about the golf swing by bingeing your videos over the last 2 days than i have in the entire 30+ years ive been playing golf.

Have watched and read a lot of golf content but this is the best explanation of GRF/torque I have ever seen. Fills in some gaps for me. Thank you for taking the time to share this knowledge. Would love to see more videos like this, especially an explanation of how the body torque is transferred to the club, and how the arms/hands work.

I have watched the 1-2 and three steps and a full lesson so far. This is the most important golf instruction and information I’ve ever seen. I’m posting this for my golfing community. I have been a two or three handicap most of my golfing life. In the first year I took up golf at almost 50 years old I was a five handicap within one year. Why, because I just use basic skills and a good coordination. I used kinetic energy based on my baseball swing. Moving the ground force horizontally keeping the back to the target the ball and then turning the hips through. As I said I was hitting it farther and better and all my golfing buddies and betting friends were amazed. Then I thought I would get better quick bye reading golf books and particularly Ledbetter. It was an enormous mistake as I spent countless hours on positions. I never got much better than a five handicap and actually got a little worse and then better only when my short game improved dramatically. Since then I’ve been going back-and-forth with different concepts always thinking about kinetic motion and energy build. Finally, I have watched Dr. Quan presentation and information. Now I understand how to create energy from the ground up and most specifically how to move and create the energy from one foot to the other. I know the information seems a little technical but it is very fundamental, proven and Important to all serious golfers. So if you are coordinated, have some flexibility and want to improve dr. Kwan‘s instructions may be the answer. By the way, I never post but I feel that this information is important. Best. And thank you Dr. Kwan, I just wish I could come there for lessons.

Thanks for posting these great videos, your providing a level of insight on the golf swing that is has not yet been provided by anyone else. Much appreciated!!

Dr. Kwon, Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and explaining. Can you explain how you lengthen the moment arm and at what point does this happen?

I have been totally geeking out on Dr. Kwons videos for the last 7hrs. I have not gotten any work done. Such good information to see. Will be implementing the 3 stages to my daily swing sessions.

Amazing lecture! Learning so much. I watched once but will continue to study this. Thank you so much Dr Kwon! Looking forward to next lecture on GRFs

Thank you Dr. Kwon. 1) at top of backswing, how can we maximize inclination of pressure, by pressuring more on the instep of trail foot? 2) middle of downswing/p5, to maximize torque, move COP forward relative to COM (lengthen moment arm) and increase pressure on lead foot (increase magnitude) - would this be correct application to maximize torque?

been using this swing motion in my last three games. feels good. i have back issues and have found that this swing helps in relation to less strain making recovery for me much better. distance also improved but more importantly accuracy. thank you for your work

Thank you Dr Kwon. Two questions if you would be so kind. Firstly, can you please explain the best way to increase the moment arm for the frontal plane (POR)? For example, more turn and force in the backswing and then upward force on the front foot in the downswing? I'm not clear on the concept of horizontal = larger and vertical force = smaller at 12.50 in the video and how this relates to the unweighting discussed at 20.30. Second question. How do you increase forward shaft lean using these concepts? I have been able to increase my student's clubhead speed but not forward shaft lean at impact.

It helps to watch this twice lol. I think I get it. I'm a data/science guy so this is great. I really like how you combine this with the flow of the motion. That's very helpful. Thanks Dr. K!
