Kargyraa is a tuvan technique that involves the use of the false vocal folds, which are located above the vocal folds. We use the vocal folds to speak normally, but false vocal folds can be used as well. While activated, they'll resonate exactly one octave below the fundamental tone produced by the vocal folds.

the Bb1 sounds and seems more like sub-harmonic technique rather than kargyraa but I could easily be wrong, I'm no expert

I could hit a B0 in kargyraa. Is it related to how deep your voice is?(Mine is very low) I've just discovered how to do a kargyraa a few days ago (not much training yet), for me it's harder to hit the higher notes, anything above C2 is very hard, any tips?

Ah, what a shame i bottom out at around Ab1-A1 with Kargyraa. Really strong technique though. Once choirs are open for rehearsals and concerts again, i'll be trying some low C's with that technique, just to see how the sound layers on top of more than 25 voices. I'm guessing it's gonna sound good and powerful, or at least, i hope that it does. :)

I've just recently began practicing this (about a month) and the lowest I can go is a Bb. Do you have any pointers on how I can go any lower? Do I just have to continue practicing or is there anything else I can do?
