CALABASH AND FRIENDS

This is a very small and a simple video for a mankind but a giant leap for my animation skills. I’ve always wanted to learn how to do animations and this is the first baby step. (The animation here is when the clips are moving on screen in funny ways. I did that!)

Music is a spontaneous jam with some of my favourite instruments.

The first instrument is CALABASH, it’s half of the giant calabash gourd and nothing else. It’s empty inside. If you listen to music from Mali and wonder what are the snap-sounds, it’s this one.
The second one is UDU. Originally it’s a Nigerian water jug and it gives this lovely oink oink sound.
The third one is BALAFON, an African marimba. This one is from Senegal with a C-pentatonic scale.
And the ANALOG SYNTH is Arturia Minibrute originally from verkkokauppa.
