I’ve been attending at Cedar Point since 1967 when I was five years old. Blue Streak was the “big” roller coaster then. I predate Frontier Town and one attraction which went away was the horse drawn stagecoach. One could ride inside or on top. I mention this here because I have tried to find reference to this attraction in the museum which is inside that old sky lift station. It’s not there and is worth remembering.

There is another Easter egg in Cedar Point that might be pretty well known, but interesting nontheless: the track of Valravn will spell out "Ohio" if you stand at Matterhorn and look towards the gondola lift station. Also, if you ever wonder why sometimes there's a burning smell in the park, that's because their CP&LE Railroad trains still run on coal.

I used to work security at Battery Park & Marina and I would be there almost every night, all night, walking the docks with all of the nice and expensive yachts there. The pier is right behind them and every night I would walk out onto it to watch their closing fireworks ceremony. It was an awesome sight and a really fun time in my life. I'll never forget it!

My dad brought me to Cedar point when I was 12 he would always pull out the Cedar Point VHS tape & have my brother watch it over & over trying to get us excited for the park. We flew out there from Miami Fl and I was to scared to ride anything leaving my dad riding the rides alone, this was almost 20 years ago I remember the Millennium force being pretty much brand new if I can remember correctly. Now I’m a HUGE coaster fan. I invited my dad to go back to Cedar Point that id pay for everything & he said now that he’s 70 he can’t anymore. What id do to go back and enjoy these rides with him! Quality over quaintly Cedar Point is a first class coaster park and worth every penny

The forward pass was perfected on the Cedar Point beach by Knute Rockne and Gus Dorais (who were lifeguards) while playing college football for Norte Dame.

Loved walking into Melt and seeing all that stuff. So nostalgic, and that outhouse is seriously one of my favorite things about cedar point. Well done Nick 🥃

I remember the 2nd Skyride/Skylift over Frontiertown well.
I actually enjoyed it even moreso than the one over the midway. It was more peaceful to go over the wooded area and water.
I believe in was removed in 1987 to make room for The Iron Dragon.

One secret was Cedar Point and Kings Island used to battle each other for record-breaking rides. It was great. But since Cedar Fair purchase KI they will not let this happen. It's to bad. Because it was that competition between the parks that made both great.

One of the things I love about this place is how the treat you when you finally make the height requirement, they share that with everyone. They cheer you all the way to the ride.

Fun video. Besides Melt, Miskeets restaurant in Frontier Town has old CP Signage on the walls. BBQue can add Willie Nelson to the cassettes 2023 Rock HoF inductee! How many young people know those are meant to look like cassette tapes (or what a cassette tape is). There's a plaque on the boardwalk by Breakers that acknowledges Knute Rockne of Notre Dame football fame was a lifeguard at CP and helped (didn't invent) the forward pass on the beach. Charles “Gus” Dorais another lifeguard passed to Rockne running routes. They used it to great affect to upset Army in 1913 (changing college football forever). He also met his wife when they worked at CP. Woodcarver Paul on Frontier Trail used to be a Cedar Point accountant. (He still does income taxes). He can also tell a lot of stories.

I just went to the park this past friday (haven't been there since 2003) and while I was standing in line for maverick (my new favorite ride) you could also see part of the concrete trough coming out from under the queue by the stairs. I didn't ride the flume back in 2003, but I remember it being there.

Something that is very hidden that I noticed is if you are on the train going past the millennium and look closely there is an old wild cat car under the millennium lift hill

I just know that DEF LEPPARD’S name has got to be on that Rock&Roll Hall of Fame tribute! I mention this because they are my all-time favorite band. They were inducted just a few years back! They deserved it! Thanks for your video! Peace.

I will have to check out Melt next time I am there. I'd love to see all that memorabilia and I was surprised you didn't mention the cool museum that is located close to the bathrroms that used to be where one of the sky rides ran out of (Btw, I was there when they were still in operation, many, many moons ago) Thanks for the other stuff too and I think it would be so strange to walk around the park with snow on the ground.

There is a metal statue of Mercury by Valravn and there are also two metal urns in the main midway that are well over 100 years old. They were bought by George A Boeckling at the St Louis Worlds fair near the turn of the century. There were many other metal statues and urns in the park but they had to be sold off during WW2 to keep the park open.

Two little additions - The outhouse actually has a function. There is a large power transformer inside. I saw it during Winter ChillOut after they took out the sketch studio that was there. And supposedly the tapes in BBQ have a few non-existent bands like the Tony Clark Five, similar to the way the Halloweekend tombstones have names of employees.

I pull the outhouse door every time I visit. I also just discovered Charlie Brown's Christmas tree at Camp Snoopy next to the Woodstock Express.
