I worked at a shellfish company dropped my mag in saltwater found it literally a year later exactly where I dropped it, had barnacles and a small creature attached but it still worked gave it a quick rinse and scrub and replaced the batteries and new led (new battery would have been sufficient, just decided to show the thing some love) … then left a customer review at the main website 10/10 would recommend!

Good video i put a led drop in in my dads 40 year old mag light. And its the brightest longest lasting flashlight ive ever had. They are awesome plus great for a weapon of last resort

Excellent review. I also have several other brands. But I still like my maglites as well.

For me it was the option of warm-white LEDs and xenon bulb versions that can be used as upright candles. I can't stand pale blue cold led lighting.

This house is mostly lit with electrically-converted oil lamps so it makes sense that I prefer warm lighting and well.. the theatricality of candles 😄

I have a maglite 2D "LED Pro" that I got like 15 years ago I think, and its a simple on/off. Thats the way I like it, most of the time you don't need other unneeded confusing modes coded into the button. They don't make that model anymore, all you can do now is do an LED upgrade to one of their xenon models

My problem with the LED Maglites is the drop rating. At least with the early ones, the drop rating was 1m and you were lucky if yours actually met that spec. For the price and position they want in the market, they should be in the 3m to 9m drop rating space like the Rayovac indestructible lines. I shifted to the those when Maglite lagged on LED. Has their drop rating improved? I haven't looked recently.

I have used maglites for years as a millwright in a foundry nothing else holds up. When one time in 20 years I had to send it in and they repaired it. I did try another light and it was so bright it white washed everything.

It's not controversial it's your opinion it's your collection and that's it. You love it and it's subjective not objective. We do respect your collection. Tried also collecting flashlights. I live in an era where power outage is ridiculous. The Maglite reflector system for me plus the incandescent lamp is the best out there. I still har the incandescent LAMP. I mean in a closed quarter you don't need 10000 lumens 10 lumens is all you need in a very closed up.

100 lumen Maglites cost the same as 1000 lumen Olights or Nite Cores here in Australia

Olight I3T is a 300 lumen light the same size as the solitaire for the same price. The MagLite 2 cell puts out 19 lumens while the Seeker Pro 4700 and the Seeker is smaller. Comparing a Model T to a current Ford Mustang regarding performance is dilutional.

Mag sells a twin pack of 18650s with on Board USB C charge port and battery level indicator. Cant find that from any other company. It’s for their adaptor to convert C battery lights to 18650. 24 bucks with cables adapters and two batteries. Excellent cost. 3400mAh

I like their Spectrum Series in warm white, (3000K with minimum CRI of 85). I have the WW Spectrum Solitare on the keys and a 2AAA on the desk. They both have excellent incandescent like warm color and smooth beam quality. They are all I need for real life use, I have a MS03 for a showoff toy. I run Imuto 1.5 constant voltage rechargeable lithium AAA batts in them.

I’ve used many flashlights and will use many more

Maglite is my favorite for the money when I just want it to work.
Good throw, regulates really well, good brightness, and good battery life

I use scope rings and mount my mag lite mini on my pistol

I personally think Luxpro left them in the dust in term of durability and cost. But I will always respect maglite for being the OG!

I recently bought a MAGLITE Pro AA LED flashlight.
I bought it because of the commonly available AA alkaline batteries.

My last maglight was a mini maglight pro led, loved that light, lasted less than a year, just stopped working, I messed with the spring, its DOA. Will probably be my last maglight.

I love maglite but I can’t find them anywhere anymore. They used to be everywhere but I literally can’t find any in stores around me. I worried they went out of business. What’s up with that?

Just bought a new red ml300l 3D 746lm for 20 eur. This as an upgrade for my 1996 2D that I allready updated to LED years ago. I liked my 2D for having a proper light in hand. Have some chinese lights and also AA and tac mags but nothing beats a D-cell Maglite. For 20 I could not leave it there. I always wanted to be able to have high(er) lumens with the option to eco it down. I miss that in my other maglites. I like my purchase.
