What I also love about this scene is that Shiro simply disables the suit. He doesn't aim for the Zaku's center of mass, but only for its head.

The thing that gets me with this is the Guntank was in range long before we see that Zaku and he had a perfectly clear line of sight. Shoot the bloody Guntank six blocks away and then coordinate with the Dom to attack the human-type suits.

That Zaku II had every chance in the world to drop that Guntank but decided to creep up as close as possible for no reason only to get blasted at point blank by the Ez8.
