Hard one, but I still prefer Purple Rain. However PR, What’s going on and Blonde on Blonde are 10/10 so it’s like choosing which parrent you love more.

I'll be honest, Darkness on the Edge of Town shouldn't have been ignored like that. I get that this all depends on taste, but that album is just as much of a contender as Blonde on Blonde and Purple Rain.

It’s ranked #1 for a reason. I feel like thriller could give it a run for it’s money but the entire What’s going on is amazing. From the lyrics, story telling, vocals and instrumentation.
