If you are going to learn another language then it should be a langiage that can be used overseas so it may help you with better job prospects. Learning Maori has no benifit to Non Maori and forcing it on everyone will just cause issues.

The problem with learning Maori is what dialect the other thing with learning Maori is that the language has been invented in the 20th century
