This is from online concert Feb. 11, 2021. The song is a love letter from the band that they wrote to their fans. Just before singing the song Saiki talked about the struggles of the band over the past year. Here is the English translation of what she said. It gives more meaning to the song and how they felt.

Saiki: We were supposed to meet you today. For the first time in a year, we thought we could meet you all, those of you who could come to see us, but we can’t meet you in the end. I’m sorry. Even though it’s not my fault.
We have been having days of turmoil for about a year. In the beginning, we were very surprised because we hadn’t experienced it before, and we had no experience of not being able to meet others in person. We were sad, but we found we shouldn’t be sad in this situation. When I saw you masters and princesses on social media, you were more depressed than us, and we thought that’s terrible.
We Band-Maid have been thinking about how to cheer up all of you in the last one year. We truly wanted to meet you at Nippon Budokan, but it’s impossible because of COVID, so let’s wait for the day when we can meet.
And in the last one year… or in the COVID pandemic, we have become more eager to cheer you up, and we Band-Maid realized again it’s important to give our songs to you.
That’s why we wrote this song for Budokan.
We made the album also in the pandemic, so it might have a little similar feel, but this song is planned for Nippon Budokan, and we really want to give it to you masters and princesses now.
Budokan is not our goal but just a stepping stone. We will perform at bigger venues, and we promise we will bring you there and give you even better songs, so let’s keep it up a little more.
This is our present for you masters and princesses. Please listen to it.

This track is a gift for all the fans (Maidiacs!) and was to be played at Budokan on Feb 11th as a surprise. However the concert was cancelled so they live screened a 2 and a half hour plus concert on the same date including this track, with Saiki giving an emotional speech before they played it. The whole concert plus extras has been recorded on DVD/Blu-ray and will be released on May 26th....mine is already pre-ordered.

I have listened and watched to this song and video like 15 times since it released. It is so hauntingly beautiful and reading the lyrics just makes you understand how much Band-Maid appreciates and loves their fans. As a musician myself, this song touches me because of not being able to be with your fans or loved ones because of the COVID-19. Great reaction, love your breakdown of all the different instruments and sounds you hear in the music., 👍👍

Amazing, I’m a 7 year Band Maid super fan, and this is soo incredibly different from the vast bulk of their catalog, and even so is quickly becoming a huge favorite! So far it’s made me very emotional every time I’ve heard it. Seeing their earnest delivery makes me even more
so.💪🏻🤘🏻

Akane is in charge of managing an electronic PAD (which is on the left of her gear). Band Maid uses numerous effects in their songs (synths, third guitars, backing vocals) and they are pre-recorded. As with RUSH, they use so many instrumental layers that they should hire multiple backup musicians for each performance. The best songs to enjoy on the prerecorded synth (composed and played by Kanami) can be Puzzle and Moratorium from their 2017 concert at Shinkiba Studio Coast.

I think another reactor pointed this out, but it's worth focusing hard on what Kanami is doing - it's dialed way down in the mix but she's actually doing a lot. One of the beautiful things about the maids is that you just don't tire of their songs because of all the detail. Always something new that you hear. And yes Misa's bass lines are just wonderful in this - all the open space really helps to bring the bass out to the front. And do I even need to talk about Saiki?! Post produced but I don't care and can't wait for the Blu-Ray coming out in May of this show!

This song has great lyrics by Miku Kobato. Their message to fans who can't meet because of COVIT-19.

Let's build a future
In this emerald world.
It’s alright! See, we are all here.
No one is alone.
Fly more...
I did. Good old days, Ooh...
‘Thank you’

★ This song is a remixed version of the net live on February 11th.
Since English lyrics can be displayed, it can be converted into various languages. and There are English and Japanese lyrics in the explanation of the recent official video. Many Japanese fans shed tears when they heard this song and thank them.
★ On May 26th, they will release a remastered DVD / Blu-ray of online live 28 songs on February 11th. There are live performances of the latest 10 songs.

Imagine that, a real hard rock band that can play Jazz walking bass lines on a ballad, unlike so many of the KPop or Jpop idol bands that use professional session players.

Hmm. No one has posted it here, so...
Here’s a super fan (t-shinji) translation of Saiki’s heartfelt monologue before this song was performed that day:

“We were supposed to meet you today. For the first time in a year, we thought we could meet you all, those of you who could come to see us, but we can’t meet you in the end. I’m sorry. Even though it’s not my fault.

We miss them, they miss us. They have never complained about this virus turmoil and dedicated to make songs that they wanted to. Their dedication seems to bear fruit in this song.

Should no one have mentioned it until here, the full concert release was announced along with this video. It will be on DVD & BR at the end of May. The Pre-orders are open, and I can only say so much: It is worth every cent!
'About Us' is indeed a song that screams 'emotion' both from the very soulful and detailed instrumentation and especially the vocals. I already had this feeling before I had the lyrics translated for me understandably at hand. And when that was the case and I saw this performance, it was only more clearly the case. The fact that the girls themselves had a lump in their throats at times during the performance is imo very understandable. I think many of us viewers of the concert didn't feel any different at that moment. And when they unpacked the song 'Daydreaming' directly afterwards, I was completely done with everything. It may not be as calm as 'About Us', but it still falls into the category of calm and emotional, and is also my personal favorite from these ladies. So it's not the first time they've ventured into this territory, and there are other very nice examples with e.g. 'Wonderland' or 'Page'. But this song here is with its lyrics from an emotional point of view of course perhaps the best of them all. For me, it's definitely one of their masterpieces. And I'll never get tired of saying, that we can't thank them enough for everything they do!
Thanks for another video on Band-Maid and the support that continues with it!

Since 2014, nearly everyday, I've said, "I need some Band-Maid." One of the only rare days in seven years that I haven't listened to Band-Maid at home or in the car was the day I went to see them live!

"About Us" is an amazing song and personal message to their fans - a direction I'm glad to see them add to their journey toward world domination. And we get to hear MISA unleash grace, power and drive that fits squarely within her favorite style of music she so enjoys playing. Stretch Band-Maid... Stretch with all your might. We're behind you 100! Their new DVD/BD/CD of this incredible concert has been ordered! Thanks, Chris, for bringing "About Us" to your viewers!

Saiki has a way of singing to a crowd but making you feel like she is singing to you and you alone. I love this band so much! And if I read right, they are supposed to be releasing this concert on dvd soon
