Keeping that track clean is paramount. I'm lucky my layout folds away and the base is vertical so the dust falls off

Now you need the vacuum car. Definitely a lot less expensive than my cleaning wagons.

I would say try it for a while to see how it performs.then if happy with it yes repaint it ..

I wasn't expecting that result at the end after seeing it had a track rubber!.
Do you change the colour?.. nope just scrap weather it 😆

I would personally leave it in NR....but that's because I have NR yellow Class 37's with TTS.
