He said he was feeding it and got too careless and too comfortable. I’ll bet money he was trying to hand feed it instead of using a long pair of feeder tongs like you should. Everyone makes mistakes though, and a lot of venomous snake owners will tell you it’s not a matter of if you’re going to get hit but when. I’m sure this was a learning experience for the guy.

So...this was a tourist attraction...and they didn't have antivenom on-site for snakes they exibited??? Shame on them.
