That bear is symbolic of the love, trust and thanks from that family. That is HUGE.

🙏I'm a CNA in a nursing home.. When a resident passes, I miss the family as much as I miss the resident..

I was a Hospice admissions nurse. In so many instances I had to explain that we were NOT there to kill Granny. I loved that job, because we were there to serve them. Once we got through the uncomfortable conversations, we could support the patient and their family.

You definitely earned that bear. That’s how those people show their love. “Here” is thank you and love for some families.

We do the best we can, Julie, and we hope that it is enough. That's my motto. The bronze bear is telling you that what you did was enough. Thank you for what you do.

Are you an angel? You are truly a Godsend for all those in their darkest hour.

I'm a retired long term care nurse. I learned early on that beyond following doctors orders, getting the meds out properly, etc. Going that little bit extra so your patient and family can depend on you and trust that what you say is exactly what you'll do, and you're their advocate.

That was nice! You do make a difference being a hospice nurse, being kind and caring for the dying, that means a lot to people.

Thank you for a beautiful story. Lost my wife March 1st and I am so grateful to all hospice staff that were here for her during the last couple weeks and ALL hospice caregivers! I also missed the nurses for several weeks as they had become such a critical part of my daily life. They were all gone so quickly and that somewhat added to my grief but I understand why they must step away. God Bless all hospice staff.

You are beyond amazing for what you do. I lost my mother February 18, 2023. Hasn't even been a year yet and I miss her horribly. She was on Hospice and hospice was amazing to her and to think she didn't want them in her house but she learn to love them all for what they did for her. You my dear are an angel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you do. ❤️

I pray in your actions you will show God's love to families and patients, and continue to bring you fulfillment. I am one who knows someday I will be on hospice. So, your informative stories are a great help even now.

Thanks for sharing that. Not everyone connects the way we think we should, but connections occur despite our expectations. Thanks for reminding me of that. I always tell my patients I am there for them and their families. I promise to hold their hands through their journey, and I mean it. This is really why I went into hospice, more people to help.

A very nice story. You are a credit to your profession, a very nobel one. This is a very difficult time when one's loved one is in last days but as a family care giver alot of denial can take place. I've been there and the more time that goes by, the more I come to realize the importance of hospice and paleative care givers.

That was beautiful. You do make an impact. You are important. You do provide more than just a service. At times, there is less said, yet there's more feelings involved. Listening in silence is a gift & that brass bear is a reminder of how much love & care you provided this family. He'll keep you company & remind you of how much that moment & how many less than "warm & fuzzy" moments may mean more than those louder & more obvious ones. Much love & tyvm for all you do. You ALWAYS do more than just show up ❤❤❤

That is soo sweet and a beautiful sentiment. There's times when it's just right to accept a gift even if technically not allowed. ❤️

I love your videos. They usually bring a tear as they remind me of things that happened while my late wife was in hospice care at home. But I always smile, and am grateful that the hospice staff was there to help us through the process.
