ikon never disappoint

edit: one of the best scenes (in my opinion) is the one with all the suitcases built up in a wall. This is all the baggage that the guy is keeping up on his shoulders, all his emotions are just put up in a wall that he can't pass through. I find that really beautiful

So much imagery going on here to represent the relative definition of being "okay". The way I interpret them...

Television sets: You know when you're depressed and you sit on the couch with the TV on but you're not watching? Might as well watch static. The static/white noise also signifying "I'm working" b/c the TV's on, but the channel itself not working represents emptiness since there's no content.

The oddly-stacked chairs: Disorganized but still supporting. It could represent a fallen order as if the chairs were originally all stacked in an organized manner but have now broken down. Still supporting you, but barely.

The long hallway scene: "Trapped" with no desirable answer. How many times have you heard people say "it'll get better" or "time will heal all"? If you've ever been in this situation, how much do you like hearing that? Even if it's true, it's not what you want to hear so, you're trapped.

Suits and car = funeral: How do you usually feel when attending a funeral of someone close? What will you usually say? Also, formal clothing tends to create distance between people. How do you typically interact w/ a person dressed casually? How do you typically interact with someone in a business suit? Casual = friendly and open, Suit = business only and distant. In relation to being "okay", their suits are saying "I'm doing alright, keep your distance".

Parachute: Doesn't always guarantee a clean landing, but it will save your life. Depends on wind conditions and factors that lead up to the landing moment. As a metaphor to a breakup, if the breakup is good, you'll have a nice soft landing. If the breakup is bad, you'll land hard and probably break your legs... but you're still alive so...

Luggage: the baggage of all you invested into the relationship, only to have it now be baggage you have to carry with you, which is heavy and burdening.

Plastic bottles: they're all empty, so emptiness. And you're surrounded by it, overwhelmed by it, yet you're using it as a cushion which could signify the desire to be alone.

Fire/Explosions: That's pretty straightforward.

I think the "I'm okay" isn't just an "I'm not okay". When people want others to ask deeper, to care more, to be concerned, the "I'm okay" or "I'm fine" becomes more of just "I'm not okay". But these boys are literally saying don't ask them, don't pity them, don't comfort them. This makes me believe the "I'm okay" is more of an "I will be okay. I'll survive." I know when I was having a harder time than normal I would actually say "I'm good" and not "I'm okay" because I didn't want anyone to ask me. I took comfort in solitude even when sometimes it was the solitude that was killing me.

Yes, I agree with you on the lyrics. I think I'm okay is like a self defense mechanism when you're scared that you might breakdown if you start talking about your problems to someone, or when you can't find the words to explain, or you just in denial

Bi the leader of iKON wrote this song 2-3 years ago when they were struggling, in pain, hurt and lost and he ended the whole series (new kids:albums)

The thing is, sometimes you feel down, you feel depressed and you don’t even know why, then someone approaches you as if they know everything and start preaching while ridiculing your mindset, it’s the superficial level of concern that starts with apathetic words and ends with goodbye, although you are definitely NOT OK, this kind of apathetic approach is the least you need, so you go like, just don’t even bother me and bother yourself, I’m fine.
