The more that I learn of these negative refractive meta materials, the more I am fascinated. This has life changing scientific possibilities. I can visualize a regime of electromagnetic, plasmons, and other nanotechnologies to create a warm plasma field for energy production. A good candidate a is water plasma. After harvesting the energy the materials would return to ground state.

I'm thinking about gamma radiation here. Since higher frequency radiation behave more like a particle than lower frequency radiation would it be possible to make a gamma deflector instead of a gamma shield using this technology?
I feel like a gamma shield would degenerate much quicker.
