I'm an Israeli Jew, and I'm half Indian, my grand parents came from a Jewish neighborhood in Cochi and unlike most of Jews that came to Israel from the diaspora they had great thing to tell about indian people, two years ago I visited Cochi and I even fasted on Yom Kippur in a synagogue where my grand parents did so when they were young.

My cousin married a Bengali Hindu and my brother's daughter's mother in law is a Jewish Indian from Kerala. There seems to be a real affinity between Jews and Indians. Ethnically our family is way more diverse than I was growing up where all my relatives were Jews from Eastern Europe.
