The United States has now surpassed 2 million confirmed cases of coronavirus. CBS News correspondent Laura Podesta reports on the latest, and Dr. Neeta Ogden joins CBSN to discuss where the new cases are increasing and why some hospital systems say they are dangerously close to capacity.

It seems to me that the few things the United States actually is number 1 in aren't good; number of people in prison (particularly people of color for non violent drug charges), the amount of defense spending (and funding wasted), obesity and diabetes deaths, gun deaths/shootings, and now the Coronavirus pandemic.

"U.S. hits 2 million coronavirus cases" reminds us that we really need to immediately find out at any given moment, including during protests, who among us are unwittingly contagious (i.e. pre-symptomatic), in order to convince them to go home, call their doctor, and self-quarantine per their doctor in hopes of stopping this pandemic.
