Hi. I download a lot of files daily as I work in genealogy. I always change the name of the files downloaded.
In the Brave browser or Google browser, as soon as I click download, a box appears and the file is highlighted in blue, and I start renaming that file, then press enter to save the file to my default chosen folder. The list of downloaded files disappears after a few seconds.
In Edge, I specified my default folder but when I click download, it asks if I want to save as or open dialogue box. I click save as, then proceed as I do with my other browsers.
It's an extra click that I don't need.
The list of downloads stays on the screen. It is a problem since I have to click anywhere on that page to get rid of the list. Usually I just click the icon for my genealogy program which is about 3/4 of the screen, leaving 1/4 of the screen at the bottom for reading the actual document. I use the scroll wheel on the mouse to move the document up or down.
Is there a way to get Edge to behave like the other browsers?
