Actually read the examples they rejected. It’s absurd those are in a math book.

Let’s keep political views out of math books

Liberals know math like they know biology: 1+2 = “well, it’s fluid”

This "breakdown" is useless without telling us what's in the books

I've always been a huge mathematics nerd but I have always hated it how the 6 and the 9 seem to be up to something!

I would like to see some actual examples of material that caused these books to be banned. If none can be given then this should be reported. let's get some facts here so people can judge the situation.

This is such a crock of crap. DeSantis has no idea what CRT even is and wouldn't know it if it jumped up and bit him in the butt.

How does Florida keep getting dumber? Just when you think the politicians there can't be more ridiculous, they come up with another reason to laugh at them.

Can someone from the state of Florida please provide an explicit example of what CRT concepts were in some of these banned math books?

He should also take care of the bible, in that book there are passages of Critical Race Theories

Mathematics is one thing I never would've dreamed could be politicized. There is only one correct answer for any equation, there are no "alternative facts" in math. If the uproar is indeed about questions used to form equations I don't see the need for questions, equations are all that's needed to understand simple mathematics. I have a grandson in kindergarten and my daughter was telling me that here in Arkansas they're teaching some kind of new way of learning math and it's not using the formula that has been around for ages. Apparently even if the student arrives at the correct number they will be wrong for not using the new directions. Truthfully, I'll be amazed if future generations can do mathematics without a calculator.

Why not pass something that will actually help Floridians?

I don't object to the idea of the government rejecting text books for legitimate reasons. But I do object to the idea that the state refuses to list those books and provide detailed reasons for the rejections. Arbitrary actions without transparency is tyranny.

Math, physics, chemistry, biology (he’s going to have fun with that one), history, literature (oh, he’s already banned some of those), ... the topics are endless. (What was government over reach again?). One that will surely be banned, if not already, Orwell’s “1984” - don’t want to give it all away too soon. Can’t beat “Ignorance is Strength” and lots and lots of lighter fluid.

It's possible that this is just a way to lock out publisher's entirely from the state that may also publish non-math related books. It may be worth investigating if certain publishing firms are being singled out for not playing ball with the state

Its just politicians way of trying to look intelligent. They are good at counting numbers. Your votes and tax dollars.
