Shooting a suspect fleeing the scene for a non-violent crime? I mean, there is no way these guys are trained to do that, so what changes when they leave the academy? And nothing for nothing, but you had a minimum of eight units on the scene against an unarmed 42 year old that was suspected of making a drug buy. Why did nobody approach him? He was standing there, arms up, you have him covered extensively, yet not one officer had the cojones to approach him. That is the problem.

Typical Austin Karen-Darren calls the cops, LIES about someone he doesn’t like, cops react based on Karen’s lies, don’t observe FACTS on the scene, and escalate the situation instead of de-escalating it—and another victim gets his rights violated (all we ever hear about are the deaths, but for every death there thousands of people who get abused by the same cops).

Then, of course, the cops are deified, never held accountable for the LAWBREAKING COMMITTED BY COPS, and they wonder why people don’t trust cops anymore. 🤨

It’s got to be hard to be a cop in this society though. When you’re faced with criminals all day every day, everyone looks like a criminal to you. Police need better TRAINING, and psychological support to help them stay sane and make better decisions. We’ve dropped the ball on them too.

Just stop and think, if you were sitting in his car and 10 cop pull out guns on you talking about guns you don't have and they fire something that sounds like a gun at you. Think about that??

2. Do something with your life

Watching each frame per frame at 20-21seconds. He got shot w the beanbag gun while his hands were up in the air. That's what caused him to jump in his car and drive off.. he was hit on the left side of his torso.. watch it again

i think he was considered a dangerous fleeing felon because of the reason they were there in the first place, ie the call about a man with a gun. other than that it seems like the police would probably have let him drive away and simply pursued him. fleeing can be dangerous too, and with a reported gun. idk. i wish he had simply surrendered instead.
