With Donald Trump back in office next January and Republicans holding a clear Senate majority, Republicans are salivating at the idea of dominating the judiciary for decades. If conservative Justices Thomas and Alito retire, Trump would nominate their successors, making him the first President since Franklin Roosevelt to have appointed a majority of justices to the high court, and likely guaranteeing a conservative majority for decades. MSNBC's Melissa Murray spoke with ‘Strict Scrutiny’ podcast host Leah Litman, Slate Law Reporter Mark Joseph Stern, and MSNBC Political Analyst Molly Jong-Fast about the future of the courts.
