How To Create Custom Sample Banks In Logic Pro X Using Multi Sampler.

0:00 - How To Create Custom Sample Banks In Logic Pro X Using Multi Sampler:

For Drum Sample Banks:
Step 1: Create a New Instrument Layer

Step 2: Go To INSTRUMENTS / SAMPLER / MULTI SAMPLE

Step 3: Click on the MAPPING tab

Step 4: Drag your samples from your OS windows to the grid

Step 5: The lower you drop your samples, the narrower the amount of keys it will be assigned to, until it's down to one key. If you are importing a lot of samples at once, lay them all on the bottom of the grid so it assigns one per key instead of stretching the samples across keys.

For Instrument Sample Banks
Step 5: First four steps are the same, on step 5, you will want to stretch your C-Note sample across the keys (as many as you'd like, or if you have multiple sapmles, usually they will be a C-note per octave for all octaves, so lay them onto their respective note/octave).

You can drag notes on top of each other as well so that the softer/harder you press a key, results in different samples being played (think of a guitar string C note being plucked 10 different ways, then programming them to many sensitivity levels.
