Can Scientists Make Us Live Forever?

What is aging? The average human life span is constantly increasing but we still don't fully understand the science behind our own age expectancy. Regenerative medicine, cell therapy and 3D bio printers are some of the modern medical technologies that could reverse our aging process - but is this a good thing? I figure by the time, if it ever were to happen, we were able to live forever or even expand the average life expectancy, there would be more than places other than just this planet we would inhabit. Hell, 90% of the ocean hasn't even been explored. For all we know there could be other means of survival down there. Highly unlikely but possible.

I don't really care about living forever, and death does suck, but I just want to live long enough to see space with my own eyes. I truly want to meet intelligent beings that aren't from earth. I'd finally feel complete. We aren't alone.

You mentioned a very valid point about people being born but not dying. If we start getting close to even semi-immortality, we'd better either turn reproduction into a rare, and carefully planned thing, or get to work mastering space colonization QUICKLY. Otherwise, we become the organism level equivalent of cancer. Might actually be better if we still died eventually, but just stayed healthy and active up until it happened instead of falling apart in slow undignified stages like now.

Solution. In my opinion I would estimate another 10 years before we attain a certain kind of immortality, the kind of immortality where you can still die if you get your head cut off when you get stopped in the heart but you cannot die from old age. The solution part is that people are still going to want to die because we have too, we just simply get the decision on when we want to die. So what do you all think of what I just said?

To reverse the aging process, I would assume that the extremely important peoples on this planet would be the only ones to get this done. While the normal people continue to age normally with a slight increase in the lifespan.

If there was no death by aging or disease in the future then the inevitable accidental death would be 1000 times more tragic because that person lost eternity.  The people alive will have to live on for countless centuries without them rather than decades.

Only reason i don't want to die is because i love my family, especially my mom. Even if i get bored in life, i wouldn't commit suicide because i still have family.

I would live forever if I could change my physical form to anything I want and I'm able to travel to any corner of reality when one universe dies. If not that I wouldn't mind living for several thousand years or more.

Once we reach immortality, only then can the world be in peace. Plus it would give us a TONNE of resources (scientists) to help with space colonization.
