I think if Moana is going to work, they REALLY need to get the publicity going. It comes out in November and there isn't even a teaser trailer yet! It NEEDS to have great advertising.

Depends how far apart these movies are. While filming schedules might work out, marketers might have major problems scheduling him in for campaigning, promotional events, extra special shoots, touring, etc. I could see one or two studios having to back out. Skyscraper sounds really intriguing and Legendary seems like a perfect fit for him. Doc Savage could easily blow up into a successful franchise. Jumanji and BTILC feel like properties that could easily do well even without him.

Surprised you didn't mention the Ron Ely "Doc Savage" movie.
That's my only experience with the character, and from memory it was quite tongue in cheek.

When we talk about the overseas profit is it the full studio's foreign profit or just the amount of money the film has accumulated without discounting international taxes and fees?
I make this question because I have heard people saying before that movies were a faillure even when they did great overseas.

Hey Grace, love your videos. Only thing that got to me was you saying that Dwayne is of Hawaiian descent instead of Samoan. I am extremely proud of my Samoan culture and heritage, we all are, and it is a disservice to call someone something they are not. Much like someone of Japanese descent wouldn't appreciate being called Chinese or someone of Mexican descent being called Salvadorian. I was actually quite shocked to see a Doc Savage movie would be coming up. I'm actually kind of a Doc Savage, mostly because I've read Philip Jose Farmer's "Doc Savage: His Apocalyptic Life". But I have actually read an original Doc Savage pulp novel "Death in Silver". I've also read a few Doc Savage pastiches in the Tales of the Shadowmen. I would be surprised to see uproar over casting a non-white-ish person like The Rock in the role of Doc Savage. I personally don't mind. I'm just happy to actually see a Doc Savage movie. Doc Savage is the Man of Bronze, because he was bronze colored. The Rock is kind of bronze colored. I say it'll work.

don't worry about rampage. it will be fine. they can actually go the serious route n make it like a multi monster godzilla. that game was pretty fun. i hope its a good time.

pixels could have been a remarkable film. the youtube video it was based off was so creative. they rly just didnt care about the material they just wanted money. rampage wont be a pixels if they treat the property correctly.
