Way back in the day I changed from red to green because of an informed sales person like Neil. The dealer is the key to long term tractor satisfaction. Neil is an amazing resource to where the conversation should start. SO well done.

And I am here because as a proud owner of a BX, I will soon be an owner of an LX. Sitting in the seat of the BX when it was delivered I never thought that I would need to lift 750lbs but soon after a load of firewood I realized that I had underbought. Now, try to explain to the wife that the $19K lawn mower needs to be a $33K mower.

Nobody tells us about tractors and implements as well as Neil Messick. Each episode is absolutely amazing, awesome and so much fun. Neil's videos are certainly why I buy all parts and accessories for our L 2501 from Messick's in Pennsylvania. We live in New Mexico. By the way, the parts department folks at Messick's are wonderful. Very different from the New Mexico Kubota Parts Department experience. You can call Messick's Parts up and get their advice on anything. Doesn't matter if you buy from them or not. If you do buy from them, you will receive whatever it is you need within a couple of days.

As always, these guys are the real deal! Neill is describing exactly the excellent sales and education experience I received before I purchased my L2501!👍

Neil, You are a great person. You sell your knowledge and honesty very well. Which in turn ends with a happy customer. You are not hounding that we need to get this.

When I was shopping for my tractor a few years ago, I went to my state's big farm equipment show at the state fairgrounds as my first step in the research process. Allowed me to look at all the brands, sit on them, compare features, and get a general idea of what I was interested in. Really helped narrow down the search. I still went to 4 different dealers, representing 3 different brands, before I made my final decision. Ended up buying a Kioti. Hasn't been completely trouble free, but I'm happy with it. The dealer I went with on the other hand, what a nightmare. If I could make one recommendation to new tractor choosing the right dealer is probably more important than choosing the right tractor.

This is exactly what I need to watch. I had/sold my B2650 several years ago when we downsized property. Now we’re looking at upsizing, this series will give me the information I need to get back into the tractor game. Thanks Neil!

I find it really interesting that a 70 hp tractor is classed as a Compact tractor, when I started farming in 1985 the first farm I was on one of our main tractors was a Case 1394 with a loader at 72 hp, great machine! Just recently we got a Massey 8730s as our main tanker tractor!! Will look forward to the remaining vids, thanks Neil

Another great video! I like the hydrostatic in my sub-compact. But I still appreciate the power to the ground in the standard transmission on my Ford Workmaster and Ford 8N.

Neil, my man, great video as always. I look forward to seeing this series. Watching your informative videos to research the idea of buying a tractor for myself has helped me greatly at work. We've recently gotten a contract to work with a project going to an OEM, and I'm the tractor guy in our company. Just being able to keep up with what's going on in the world of tractors has helped in spades. I grew up on a 3 cylinder Ford tractor, which is a dinosaur compared to today's offerings.

On an aside, and I know this is very personal, but you need to go get your T levels checked. Over the past two years or so, your body has started to display classic signs of low T, which has become the most common medical issue in men in america. I'm not trying to be rude. Just trying to look out for you bro.

What of the 5 parts will cover "Convincing the wife, who does none of the work outside, that the purchase is needed, and it's not just 'your new toy'? "

When I bought my tractor: I looked at what I was going to be using it for and what would be required to perform my needs. Then I looked at areas where physical size would be a constraint. Looked at ground conditions. I considered any future uses such as attachments and their requirements. As long as the horsepower fulfilled those requirements that set my horsepower choice. I bought the tractor to fit my needs. Only mistake with my process was my choice of color….. My wife wanted a red one!
