UP 844 w/ 6936

In this clip we join 844 on a southbound run as she charges into Peckham and flies by the grain elevator then thru 5 crossings as she charges into Platteville to clear the main for Amtrak on detour to Cheyenne,Then she gathers steam as it runs by Ft. Vasquez for info see
then by the weigh station Then UP844 gets the green, and it looks like Steve Lee opens her up as she streches her legs on a run in to Ft Lupton as we try to get a few close ups of that heavy metal at speed as she charges through a few more crossings, the 2010 tour starts with
a run to Texas for info and dates see

@jgdogg441 they really had to stoked it up after slowing to pass Amtrak on the siding to have steam pressure to take the green to a highball charging 70 mph at the end, or just puffs of fairly normal exhaust to keep the train a rolling, more or less

I used to know that stretch of US 85 quite well. I lived in Platteville when I was a kid. Doesn't look like it's changed much.

Shame we dont have anything like Challenger, DD 40 X or 844 down here in Australia.
Although we do have running steam engines they are not as grand as what you luki guys have.

@brendanthemanvallee 3985 is almost ready but with 2010 having events almost every month, I dont think they will have any spare time to finish it up but a double header in Nov to Council Bluffs for the 50th anniversary of the UP steam Program would be the Steamtacular that i am hopeing for
