Just like Frank Ocean, Blonde's vinyl has had a very rare presence online. Those unlucky enough to be fans of both records and Mr. Ocean have had a very difficult time acquiring one. But why is it such a coveted album in the first place? Let's step back and talk about Blonde, before getting into the barren history of it's Vinyl. Went to LA in the summer of 2022 on a cross country trip, went to a record store on Hollywood boulevard and in a random small basket in this huge vinyl store I found the black and white version of blond and buying that was the best feeling ever. I got it for $80 and at that time or a few months later it was going for around $1, 400, I have had it framed in my room double sealed since that day because of how special this album is to me and how much it has helped me mentally

I’ve been (trying) following frank ever since I first heard Nostalgia Ultra…
I saw him live in Amsterdam (2013) where he blessed us with an “unreleased track” which years later turned out to be Seigfried!
I kept up with his website and bought the original vinyl(black/white cover), cd and magazine and later on the endless vinyl.
Now he released the vinyl again and i just had to buy it in color this time
It’s that one record I will never get rid of. It was such an important time in my life and blonde was there to compliment everything I had going on

To this day I feel blessed to: I GOT TWO VERSIONS. I GOT TWOOO VERSIONS!

Bro I'm having insomnia nearly every night for several months now and listening to Blond is one of the only thing that gets me to sleep like the feeling of nostalgia and everything it feels like home.

Got my original on Black Friday 2016. It was $35 USD back then 😁 I’m pretty sure that the record was available for the entirety of the 24h window, cause I didn’t exactly jump on it the moment the webstore opened. It’s probably just that a lot less people were collecting vinyl in 2016. It’s the most expensive record in my collection by a country mile, even after the reissues have lessened the demand massively. Also mate, I’m sure a million people have told you by now, but the plural of vinyl is vinyl - if you really have to pluralise it, say vinyl records. Cheers


6:51 it’s worth noting that Endless got its first vinyl and CD/DVD release in 2018, so I wouldn’t exactly that say that *nothing* happened.
