Palm Beach is another spectacular example of what happens in a failed state. Beautiful clean and fresh water - pumped from the Umzimkulu and treated in Port Shepstone - being poured straight back into nowhere before it reaches Palm Beach.

This also happens in Hibberdene. Which is also outlying but in the north. Both of these places have been abused mercilessly by the UGU Municipality. Who still deny anything is wrong all the while claiming progress with the ever-worsening water situation.

These leaks, which we are logging here on this channel, pump out thousands of megalitres of water every day - to nowhere. In some cases, the water goes straight back into the river that it was drawn from. That video coming right up...
