In short, be yourself and let it show. Whoever likes it will get *drawn in, and who doesn't will stay away. It is okay to be rejected by people even the ones you wish would like you but won't because of who you really are.

Brilliant! Which; as a result saves you and others from getting hurt because of not being yourselves, or hoping others would change to your likes, or you try to adapt to their likes, or you want them to like you when they are incompatible with you, and when you don't show parts of who you really are in hopes that works, and you get what you wish from the other person! Ending up hurt eventually because you weren't really you.
