Why THE GARFIELD MOVIE Was So DISAPPOINTING?... #shorts

Why was the Garfield movie (2024) so disappointing? There are a few reasons. The jokes were painfully unfunny and dragged on way too long, and the pacing was just all over the place. Good ideas were wasted because they were underdeveloped and predictable. The movie was also plagued by blatant commercialism, which is ironic since the original Garfield was meant to satirize that. The baby Garfield was a prime example of this, and there was way too much product placement and forced modern references. But the biggest problem? Garfield himself isn’t really Garfield in this film. His character feels completely off. Almost nothing he does or says aligns with any version of Garfield we’ve seen before—it’s like a bad imitation. I actually enjoyed the earlier live-action Garfield movies. Even though many people don’t like them, Garfield felt like Garfield in those films. This new movie, however, seems like a hollow shell that’s just wearing a Garfield costume. The only redeeming feature is the animation—it looks great!

The movie I actually kind of liked Odie is the saving grace he so carried that movie they did him no wrong. All they did him was right.

Are you kidding me? This is the best movie ever. Remind me when I was watching the 2004 live action Garfield movie when I was two years old
