[KIELive#52] Stateless microservices with processes and decisions
Показать описание
How to design stateless microservices that takes the best out of business processes and decisions automation.
About this event
When designing an application and the whole architecture, there are several scenarios that can have increased scalability by leveraging stateless executions. In stateless execution, the client service expects a response as soon as a request is sent, where the service won't provide any kind state persistence.
This type of scenario is very handful on service orchestration. In the business automation scope, this capabilities can be achieved by using a specific type of process, stateless processes - with no wait state in the flow - they are called: straight-through processes(STP).
Let's go into details on straight through processes with a hands-on example and let's explore how to leverage Kogito to implement a stateless process integrating with decisions using DMN and DRLs in a seamless way.
About the invited speaker:
Tiago Dolphine is a senior Software Engineer at Red Hat working with business automation and open-source in Kogito and jBPM projects, providing solutions and tools for customers and community.
He also has a background in the production environment, with experience of monolith to microservices migration, besides he is an enthusiast in distributed systems, mainly based in reactive event-driven architectures aiming for scalability and performance.
About the KIE Lives:
The KIE Live Series is composed of live streamings that bring technical information and updates about business automation delivered by the projects under the KIE umbrella: Drools, jBPM, OptaPlanner, and Kogito.
Problems like process automation, decision automation, resource planning solution are the main topics, and of course, we always have in mind recent technology concepts like cloud-native application target for any type of cloud (private/public/hybrid/edge). You can expect to hear from business automation experts who code or/and deliver business automation within big enterprises across the world.
Join us to share, learn, and grow together.
