I have the GT77 and the silent mode is also nuts here. The only main limitations I see are CPU limited to 55 watts sustained and GPU 150W instead of 175. Yet it plays everything at ultra settings in silence. MSI have nailed that aspect 100%.

I have this laptop and I found out recently that CPU under full load (4.8 Ghz P cores) is thermal throttling. It produced some performance loss in games. The only solution I found is to downclock it to 4.3 ghz and undervolt on 100 millivolts in the advanced bios settings, in order to access them press right ctr + right shift + left alt + f2. By doing this I got + 10 fps and finally laptop doesn't fries my hands.

I find it funny that so many people disregard this immediately because of 105W 4090. It is because of this (relatively) low TGP that it can maintain a slim profile and actually game very well at only 40-41dB while other gaming laptops can get pass 50-55dB easily. And it's like 5-10% slower than 175W 4080, which only can be cooled properly in DTR (aka thick) laptops :-/

I'd more like the previous style that place a lot of gaming grah with power, temp, clock speed and fps, that shows the gaming performance very clearly and no way to cheat...

Im considering buying the 4080 version of this machine. Is the 4080 at 105 watts doing a disservice? I am also considering an Alienware X16 who's RTX 4080 can boost up to 175 watts. The difference is around $400 USD right now. Also, the MSI is running a 13900H vs the Alienware's 13900HK if that matters.

Love watching the reviews but your marks for the Acer predator Helios CPU timespy is well low and mine gets 13500 CPU and the CPU holds well over 100w in timespy for the stress tests

Is there a 4K model of this laptop? The website for it says there's a 4K 144Hz model but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

like this is not sufficiently cooled to allow the GPU to stretch its legs. That 4090 is wated at the comparatively low wattage, as shown with the 4080s being allowed to run at 175 watts and beating it.

I dont understand how you were able to achieve these results in silent mode. Mine gets WAY to hot in silent mode, seems the GPU isnt limited with power in this mode. Im unable to replicate these results.

This is the only technical review of this device available in the Youtube for now, can you please share the display profile. MSI laptop screen from last year had average DCI-P3. Most of the high end laptops from 2023 have good color accuracy. Even the new Lenovo Legion serious stuck at 70% DCI-P3 with brightness over 500 Nits. Whereas Asus, Razer, Acer laptop screen have 98% P3 color accuracy
