Hello! This video introduces the ideas and philosophies of Not Right Music. And what to expect from our videos.

Hello, my name is Marcus. I recently put this little channel together.
I’ve taught thousands of people how to open up their creative potential for writing and playing music. Now I’m attempting to bring that to YouTube.
I’ve been teaching these methods at my own school in Tokyo and at universities, private schools, and workshops around the world for over 15 years.
I’m also a freelance composer and performing musician.
I'm entirely new at teaching to a camera so I'm open to suggestions, comments, and questions.

Marcus Staniec is the owner of Nook Nook.
He has been teaching music since 1995.
After Berklee College of Music he moved to Japan as a musician and an educator.
He has taught music at top universities, high school, private schools, workshops, and now his own school.
He is best known for teaching “unconventional music” and improvisation.
He also continues to compose music for various media and frequently performs around the globe.
