Blackberry Passport Silver Edition: Unboxing & Comparison

Blackberry has updated the Passport with the Silver Edition. Although the specs and software are carried over, we get an improved design featuring a stronger metal frame, improved keyboard ergonomics, and a more premium look. The silver Edition also gets 3 new accessories which I also look at in this video.

I got my BlackBerry Passport 8 months ago, it is the best phone I have ever had. I love it. It is solid, easy to use, different than the rest of cellphones. 100% recommended

I had the first gen black Blackberry Passport and i loved it! Sadly i had to part ways with it. I miss it so much, the level on functionality it offers is amazing, it's only phone that would let you keep YouTube running in the background while you do other things. It offered true multi-tasking! And the battery life was insane! I would get a full day with moderate to heavy use. I'm definitely getting this Silver Edition it fixed all the design flaws that the first gen had. I'm excited!

By far one of the best reviews! Just purchased the BlackBerry Passport gen 1 in Dubai and I absolutely love it especially the BB HUB which is the jewel of the phone in my opinion. Now BB gen 2 is out I will definitely be getting it too! Thanks again!

Blackberry will always be, to me, the best smart phone.
I miss the actual keyboard on cell phones! I used to have the BB Pearl and BB Curve. I loved them! It was so easy to type with them. Now you have to use an onscreen keyboard which you almost always have to look at in order to use. Plus, my BB phones were indestructible. I can't tell you how many times I dropped them. The fact that "smart" phones nowadays start acting up after only a year should be taken into consideration. Heck, even after half a year your "smart" phone can seem strangely sluggish. I remember when you could have a 5 year old phone that went through so much physical abuse but it still worked almost the same as the day you bought it.

What really fascinates me is the keyboard. Not only whether you need it or not to be there as stated by Steve Jobs but also it can be used as a scroll bar. It uses a sensor in the keyboard by just draggin' your finger around it without clicking any key. Amazing.

I still use a Blackberry Passport Silver Edition as my main phone for calls, email and web browsing and a Samsung Note 4 only for web and apps ...got to say the Passport gets the attention wherever I go because it's such a well made device with a premium finish. The Passport it's not about the apps ...it's about the nice feeling you get while using this device for basic tasks.

When you read comments like "best phone I have ever had" you should actually believe them this time. Have my silver for a month now and it is the best phone I have ever had. People often ask about it in public places, the BB hub is such a simple and amazing feature that streamlines all your emails, texts, or any other forms of communication you want to add. Really a fantastic phone. I am a long time Sony Xperia user. Never liked iphone. BB10 is perfect for me. When I went to activate it (T Mobile) I asked if I should be worried about anything with the Silver and the only bad thing the guy told me about the phone is that "it takes a long time to turn on. All blackberries are like this." Get this phone
