I believe (can’t confirm), that this song is based around what we know from the Untitled Novel, where it mentions Goliath used the Iris to cut Earth off from the Depths, upon attempting to do this an explosion ruptured the depths, leaving it a graveyard, rubble, nothing, only Goliath survived, but not as he used to be, just Skull and Bones, feeing something engraved in his eye he ran to the waters to see his reflection, in which he realized that the Iris had merged with him
