It's our first first full day in Istanbul! In this vlog we're exploring the European side of Istanbul, trying some of the local Turkish food & snacks, meeting a few locals, and exploring a few major spots along the way - like Galata Tower, İstiklal Street, the Spice Bazaar, and Sultanahmet!

We love how open you guys are to discovery and meeting local people, and actually spending some time with them. Everyone seems so inviting there! I'm (Stephen) in complete agreement with Alan about the texture of Turkish coffee! To be fair, I've only had it once (in the States), but the first thing that struck me was the texture. I can't wait to try it in Turkey. It was cool to see you trying Baklava for the first time, Brandi - so good, right? 😋 The candy tasting was hilarious, too. You made this very fast paced, it fits the vibe of the place. And you visited a loooot of sites! Were these all in one day? Wow! What surprised me about Turkey was that I didn't expect any country, other than the US to have their flag shown on every street corner like that.
Leaving that aside, I really appreciate that you stroked a dog too, and not only cats haha. And yes, they do offer tea almost everywhere. Some of them to making you buy stuff, but most of them just offer something, because that's their style, which is awesome! One of my favourite videos so far! PS: you guys are super sweet!
