Assalamu Alaikum,
I hope everyone is doing well. Today, I want to discuss Paper 2 of Oct/Nov 2023 exam 22. The duration of the paper is 1 hu & 45 mins. We need to answer all questions on the question paper using a black or dark blue pen, and we may use an HB pencil for drawing diagrams. It's essential to write our name, center number, and candidate number at the top of the page. We should answer the questions.
Q1 pertains to verification, where we must complete a sentence about verification methods. The focus is on understanding verification types like length checks and format checks, along with providing examples of normal and abnormal test data.
Moving to Q2, it delves into length checks for date validation. Here, we need to explain how length checks ensure the proper entry of dates and why they're important for maintaining data integrity.
Q3 involves understanding different SUD code statements and their purposes, such as procedure calls, mathematical operations, and conditional statements.
Q4 deals with algorithm development, specifically regarding 1D arrays and data input processes. We must design an algorithm to find the lowest value in a given array while adhering to specific instructions.
In Q5, we're tasked with identifying and correcting errors in a provided algorithm for storing city and country names. It's crucial to carefully analyze the algorithm and identify syntax and logical errors.
Q6 focuses on modifying the corrected algorithm to accommodate country name input and display cities from a specific country. We need to describe the necessary changes to achieve this functionality.
Q7 involves understanding the purpose of using variables and constants in programming. We should explain how meaningful names and proper usage of variables and constants enhance program readability, reusability, and maintenance.
Q8 requires us to interpret a flowchart and complete a trace table based on provided input data. Attention to detail is key to accurately tracing the flowchart's execution and filling out the table.
Q9 explores the logic expression and truth table creation, testing our understanding of logic gates and truth table construction based on given expressions.
Lastly, Q 10 involves SQL query formulation to retrieve specific data from a database table. We need to construct a query to extract horse codes and breeds originating from Scotland.
