This call came in on 01/21/2025, the day that Donald Trump was confronted by Mariann Edgar Budde, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington (pictured in the thumbnail). During her sermon, Budde directly addressed President Trump as he sat in attendance with his family, expressing concerns about his policies regarding illegal immigration and LGBT issues. She stated in her sermon, “In the Name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now,” Budde said. “There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and independent families. Some who fear for their lives.”
