Tip: When doing a relief pattern, sometimes it’s more beneficial to inlay the pattern rather than carve it from a solid piece. In our case, we have a lot of these to make and the flat surface on the bottom must be sanded smooth. If you are careful when you glue the inlay into a pre-sanded piece, you eliminate the need to sand the flats in between
