Hydrogel hybrid probe matches mechanical properties of the brain

Показать описание
New implantable devices developed in Polina Anikeeva's lab at MIT transform and soften to match the mechanical properties of the brain, enabling long-term studies of neural circuits. This video shows Anikeeva's new device (bottom right) causes less stress on brain tissue compared to other probes. Lower stress means less damage and better recording and stimulation performance for a longer period of time. Video: Anikeeva Lab
