1A Auto, you missed some of the more important issues with the Escalade.
-Rear backup camera is horrible especially at night time.
-The CUE entertainment screen freezes or turns off.
-front Magnaride shocks go out between 45-60k miles and the rear ones around 70k miles.
-Transmission shudder, there's a tech bulletin for it since they never issued a recall.
-Rear AC system doesn't vent properly out the vents due to collapsed/detached pillar fittings.
-Rear windshield wiper spray, the clip that connects the hose to the motor dries out, cracks and therefore hose disconnects and when actuated, the washer fluid leaks all over the inside headliner.

These are just some of my own experience and a lot of other owners have the same issues.

The AFM collapsed lifter problem runs you about $5000-6500 and in most cases GM will recommend an engine swap. Amazing that this has not been a recall since this problem has been going on for over 5 years now with all GM's V-8's across the board with Active Fuel Management.

I've seen one with over 400k miles selling for 8 grand. I'm tempted to buy it

My issue with my Cadillac Escalade ESV Platinum is the key fob, I have to take it out of my pocket to start the engine. The connection is weak even though the battery is new.

Most of these issues are uncommon from 2018-2020, different transmission and torque converter, throwing out that shudder/shake problem, 15-17 8speed 18-20 10speed tranny, wireless charging is usually trash however 15-17 is only compatible with some androids/samsungs no apple iphones, the lifter collapse issue is any vehicle with cylinder deactivation or dod/afm.

I have a 2019. The only issue I’ve had is a hesitation while towing. It seems to shake a little as if I’m going over bumps. Mostly happens while going slightly uphill, only while towing. Runs perfect when not trailering.

The cell phone charging capability is also based on the case the phone is in. The case can block wireless charging.

I love my 2015 Escalade, but I am having constant issues with the drivers assist system. The collision detection sensors keep going out. The adaptive cruise control sensor needs to be replaced again. I’m not happy with the shoddy sensors in these vehicles. General Motors needs to do better. It’s a shame because I absolutely love my Escalade.

Front magnetic struts. Almost guaranteed to start leaking around 60k miles.

I have an O2 excursion and I was thinking about giving it up and getting one of these. But after looking into them I think it’s not a good idea.

Good to know before you Buy! Great info! I wonder if there's is a way to turn off the Cylinder Deactivation to pro vent the Valve from Collapsing. Maybe a Fuse or Button?
