Y’all need to grow up or get over yourselves. Parents scare their kids lightheartedly all the time. I teased my kids like this and other way tons when they were little (still do) and they’re amazing pre-teens now who like to joke around with me as well…our bond is so strong because we didn’t walk in egg shells around each other.
I swear, people on the internet will complain about anything; even where it’s completely undeserved.

Don't forget he's also old enough to make more out of it so mommy will cuddle and pacify him. I wonder if an older child over to play did that, he'd likely be all giggles after initial startle.
