1942 (Arcade) Playthrough Longplay Retro game

1942 is a vertically scrolling shooter made by Capcom that was released for the arcade in 1984. It was the first game in the 19XX series. It was followed by 1943: The Battle of Midway.

I used to finish this game with one airplane. Other kids from the neighborhood would tell me that there was someone better than me and I challenged that other guy... word got around and we met. Friendly bet. Unbelievable, we tied the bet. We was very cool after that. Hope you're doing well out there Rudy.

I use to play this back in 84 or 85, I was 8 years old. I would sneak inside the playground since it was illegal...great times!! But this was an outstanding performance

I must have been in grade 1 or 2 when I first saw this game and knew who could play it with one credit and finish the game. And everyone would huddle around the cabinet as he did his thing. Fun times 😊

I played this til my hands bled back in the arcades in the 80s. I also got to the end.

Took my kids to Ghostbusters today. Anyway they had this game at the Cinema so I was blow harding to my kids how good I was at this game as a kid.

Start playing and the shooting button sticks LOL, can hardly shoot. Anyway I flame out and the kids laugh roll their eyes and say "good one Dad"

My late husband and I bought this game and PacMan (still got them) in 1990. I thought my high score of 672000 was good. But I have this on the highest setting so you have to shoot the big planes a lot more to crash them.
