The worst lip-out I recall is Mickelson’s putt for a 59 at Phoenix. He needed some Fowler luck. Interestingly, Fowler was playing with Mickelson that day.

If you wonder why pros make EVERY 3 FOOTER check out the speed...they take the break out and smash a left breaking putt right center and they're playing on lightning fast greens. You and I play it outside the hole at hole speed and hope it breaks enough to go in bc if we hit it hard we'd miss every one on the high side. Look at Rory's 500 Sunday collapses in a row...suddenly on Sunday he tries to die everything in the hole...the result is 4 or 5 near misses and losing by a couple after leading by 4 or 5 heading into Sunday by making everything the previous 3 days.
