You were issued one of the least expensive citations in the traffic code, and a "fix-it tickets" to boot. Just be thankful you weren't caught doing 125 on a double yellow around a Ducati! Tires and citations are both expenses that shouldn't come as a surprise with this lifestyle/hobby.

I always thought mounting plates that aren't vertical is asking to be pulled over. It has to be a DOT approved mounting system or else the cops can cite you. The aftermarket mounts might look cool, but they can get you what happened here.

As an owner of five street legal motorcycles, I always make sure to keep my license plates fully visible and legal. Under tail plates are a police magnet. Figure something out. Don’t make yourself a target.

I would love to only have the license plate vertical :D here it has to be at least 30 degrees, it needs a reflector and the license plate has to have a light as well. it also needs to be between 11 and 47 inches above the ground. and the license plate needs to be 7x7, 8 inches big. tugged lincense plate (above 60 degrees) would cost 800-1000 eur in germany.

I don’t think max gets it. He wanted to pass max and the only way to do that is to pull him over.
