#Skaventide is here! But how are you going to paint all those rats? 🐀

In this video we're teaching you how to paint skaven clanrats, at great speed, using drybrushing, followed by citadel contrast and a few simple finishing steps.

Excellent video as usual! Slow down on characters is always nice and helpful as a painting guide...
For the Stormcast Eternals I'd like to see OSL and Lighting Effects with all those fires or how to get those vibrant blues for their robes and capes...
For the Skaven I'd like to see how to get those unique greens for those warpstones and toxic fluids...

I've recently bounced back into painting after getting discouraged years ago, in large parts thanks to your video's showing contrast paints and drybrushing. I am very perfectionist, and struggle to find joy in my own work, which meant I used to bounce away from miniature painting, never quite happy with the result. I found out about slapchop existing, and I ended up doing a lot of research, including several videos posted on this channel. And you guys really brought back like...a joy of painting I've not felt since I was a kid. I finished up a few miniatures a few days ago that I spent way too much time on, but I am genuinely so proud of how they turned out. It's been such a boost to my self-esteem. So... thanks for spreading the joy of the craft.

Since I am also painting miniatures that feature canopies and cockpit glass; I'd love to see your take on that. The jewelling technique I'm using relies a lot on wet-blending, and it's one I'm getting acceptable results out of, but it's not quite there yet. Would love to see if there's a way you would tackle it!

This is really cool! Next, I would love to see some really high contrast Stormcasts from Skaventide with the flames done in something like a cool mystic green with a potent OSL effect

Would love to see an updated version of your Painting Stormcast Vindictors but with different schemes. Perhaps white gold, battered grim dark style and ultra clean high fantasy armor styles.

Would like to see Rat Ogors next. How would you approach two-toned skin/fur with gradients :)

This was a good speed paint work on your Skaven. The base details gave the rat warrior a leading character.

Excellent video this week! For your next video: Guide for batch painting all your spearhead armies. Would be a nice opportunity to cover:
1) how to plan batch painting for a spearhead force (tools; model prep; sub assemblies; color scheme/basing; schedule).
2) Principles for painting in batches (i.e., goal-setting; small v. large batches; maintaining momentum across multiple batch-painting sessions; what areas of the model to start with; use of color; how to identify high versus low impact paint areas; speed vs. slow approaches to batch painting)
3) Intermediate techniques to elevate a batch paint (e.g., streaking grime, pigment powders, effects paints, etc. Which work well for batch painting? Which don't?)
4) What to do at the end of a batch paint. Most army painting vids tend to emphasize the early stages with the goal of getting something on the table. What things should be considered at the end of batch painting?
5) Any spear-head specific considerations for batch painting? (basing to match spearhead board; expanding spearhead to full army)

Keep up the amazing work!

I've love to see an Artis Opus approach to a mini diorama. Skaventide is super flavourful and it has so many great poses that play against each other. A small dio with 3 on each side and maybe some combination of the last few techniques posted would be great. Like 3 retributors with the villainy ink stuff on one side and some clan rats on the other side.

Loving the latest few things you've shown off, getting me excited to work on my faster projects and not get bogged down too much in my display work!

I think the way you do metal would look amazing on the big cannon and the warpstone bits glow would look good the way you painted the piece of wall recently. Anyway love your work, your store and products you produce. Keep on keeping on🫶

Spearhead boxes would be really cool. I would love to see you paint up some daughters of Khaine.

My tip - dont be scared to mix contrast paints (or any paing for that matter) on the model itself. The smoother graident and visual punch is more familier to the human eye especially in skin tones where they are very rarely uniform

I think a nice slow video on the claw-lord on gnaw beast would be awesome! as making that gnaw beast look real nasty and decaying would be really cool to pair with the vibrant armor of the claw-lord, always nice to have an awesome looking leader model

Would love to see you slow down for some characters - the Lord Terminos especially, I can't wait to get my hands on him!

Starting a paint-project of over 80 skaven clanrats, this video made the idea less daunting. Thank you for the encouragement with this! I'll be using your suggestion for most of the mass-paint.

I would love to see a speedy spearhead painting video! Especially interested in Seraphon or Skaven! Thanks for putting out such good and beginner friendly content!

Just found this channel. You are such a helpful paint teacher. I’m a new painter jumping into Skaven with the release box and working on my first box of clan rats. Please post more tutorials of the new Skaven models!

I absolutely adore that you leave your mistakes in! Ive been really struggling for inspiration recently, but this has got me so excited to spend money I dont really have! Seconding the OSL comments, but id also love to see you go into detail about how you let certain contrasts pool, and when to thin it down. I know they're really novice subjects, but im a novice, so... 😅

3 years ago your videos really helped me get the Dominion Stormcast done! I'm hopeful for something similar this time! Maybe a video on how to paint the Stormcast leaders with some glowing effects for their weapons and flames?
