A friend has the CAZ professional set in his studio, so I get to play them whenever we cut tracks together. They are a beautiful cymbal set for recording. If there's any critique I have about them is that the ride is a tad, and I mean just a tad, on the soft side. If you like a bright pinging ride, I would consider the rock beat ride over this one. Overall thought, a wonderful cymbal set.

Blown away by how versatile they are, especially the crashes! I would use for them for pretty much any style i play :) And awesome playing there, thanks!

Why The 20 ride is slightly higher in pitch than the 19 crash ride? I guess because the 20 is thicker than the 19?
19" 2:04
20" 3:03

I'm looking for a cymbal set for rehearsals and small gigs.
Normally I am very attached to my Paiste 2002's, but in small settings they are often too loud.
The Caz series sound great from the samples I hear online 👌

Side note: "Caz" means "jazz" in Turkish, and pronounced like "Djuzz".

I have the 19" and LOVE it. While i understand the Caz Series is uniquly it's own thing, (having found here it's especially appropriate for jazz)... what is the closest approximate "family" is it's basic fingerprint tonality making a 'nod' to? Ziljian K? for example.

Please forgive me, I'm a guitarist so not so informed, could it be said that Caz cymbals are a "washy" type crash? And is the hammering philosophy coming from another companies tradition? I'm sure a cymbal freak could say what combination of influences the Caz Series is birthed from... anyone?

What is the approximate weight of 16" crash?

How sick would it be to combine 15 caz hats, 19 caz crash ride, 19 rock beat holey crash/20 caz crash and 21 z ride?

I just ordered the 19 crash/ride for crash mostly, do you think it will match well with the 21 caz ride I already have?

I'm too undecided between the caz series and the cs series, I would have liked to mix them but it costs too much

There is one thing about this cymbels. You see EVERY stick hit and fingerprint INSTANTLY!!! 😅

The kick is too loud in the mix. Covers up everything. I like the hats and crashes though!

Hihat sounds great, the rides have too much midrange for me

Great cymbals really better than Sabian and Istambul.
