L.A., Bakersfield. Got a lot of airplay out there, KUZZ, KLAC. He was doing good country shuffle when there was a lot of citybilly dreck on the radio in the '70's. I still have his vinyl in my collection.
Lead the house band at the Palomino Club, Buck Owens helped him along, iirc.
Still sounds good!
