This is so bogus, honestly. It feels like this was egged on by others too. Wayne is a legend but he's also not that reliable or professional when it comes to playing shows between skipping rehearsals without notice, showing up hours late for his own sets, and often going through the motions during them while needing monitors to give him lyrics on stage. That's aside from the fact that he's too high too often and the NFL folks don't want to deal with that... especially since the halftime show was never about picking hometown rappers to do them like it's some entitlement.

The Dre one here in LA was a one-off idea, plus it was to show off the new So-Fi Stadium, and even then, it included Em, 50, and Blige who aren't even from LA. Kendrick has been hot this year and the Pop Out concert in Inglewood was a huge success. Wayne hasn't been hot in a while and Kendrick always comes correct when it's about putting on a special performance whether it's the Grammys, VMAs, you name it. Plus the halftime show is inherently about attracting the biggest audiences to draw the most revenues per viewership, hype, and advertising, and Wayne, even though he's an all-time GOAT, he wouldn't bring that like Kendrick.

I feel like people are looking for ways to invent problems and negativity when the bigger picture is that Kendrick is going to headline the Superbowl during Black History Month to do something special to the biggest audience ever. That means something positive so all this other mess about Wayne making videos like this is ridiculous IMO.
